If I was given the opportunity to go anywhere for a holiday, I would take advantage of this occasion to travel all around the world.
However, I don’t know precisely the details of this dream holiday as, if it was possible, I would mean to realize this experience by the seat of my pants, without planning its duration and according to my desires at the moment. Therefore, I just know I wish to discover a wide range of regions and landscapes on each continent, from the huge American towns to the Australian deserts, including the Greek islands, the Philippine rice fields or the Congolese forests.
There are several reasons which motivate this dream. First, I think discovering the culture and customs of highly varied peoples could turn out to be entertaining and rewarding. Moreover, it would be fantastic to make friends with people from everywhere on Earth, and it would allow me to become more open-minded through contact with foreigners who have their own way of seeing things and their own beliefs. Finally, such a project would enable me to see with my very own eyes the images I’ve always been used to watching on television.
During this trip, I would of course sightsee monuments and natural sceneries to know more about the countries. Yet, the main thing I would look for would be the human contact, and I would wish to meet locals in order to experience their way of life. Besides, to be immersed in their daily life as much as possible, I would take really little luggage and I would hire no guide.
This holiday would be the trip of a lifetime.
