Note to recorder:

1 male and 1 female voices needed for these 2 dialogues.
The objective is for my students (14 years old) to spot the gap-fillers; Expressive dialogues. (and of course the names mustn't be read)

1.
Helen: Hello! Can I come in?
Peter: …Erm… , yes, you can.
Helen: …Listen…, I’ve got wonderful news. I’ve got two tickets for the football final!
Peter: ... Oh Really… . …Well… , that’s great, …I mean… fantastic, for you.
Helen: Fantastic for us! …Wait a minute… , do you mean you can’t come with me?
Peter: …Well… I’m afraid I can’t. …You see… , I have to help Tom, ... you know..., my neighbour.
Helen: …Oh… , … I see … That’s really …
Peter: Yeah… too bad.

2.
Betty: Kenny! What happened to the car?!
Kenny: …Well… I had a little problem with it…
Betty: A little problem! …Look..., the front of the car is completely broken.
Kenny: I only took it to go to the cinema.
Betty: …Okay, then .....
Kenny: …Well… , then I wanted to break at the stop sign…
Betty: ……Uh uh… , …so…
Kenny: Then… It didn’t break and I had an accident!
Betty: …Never…! I know you had an accident, I saw the car!
Kenny: …Listen… , it’s all your fault, you didn’t repair the brakes.
…Anyway… you’re always accusing me!

I changed a few things that didn't sound natural to American English. I read both parts myself, so I hope you can find someone else to read the man's part. You can edit the parts together on Audacity.

Thanks a lot Ottersloth. It's always nice to have a native point of view on the dialogues. I hope I'll get a male voice as you said (though I can try ro change your voice with Audacity, but it might sound a bit weird!).
