シャワーを浴びようとしたが、水が出なかった。
ゲームをしようとしたら、親が帰ってきて、結局できなかった。
お風呂に入ろうとしたら、電話が掛かってきた。
私は5時半に帰ろうとしたら、上司に呼ばれてしまいました。
おばあさんが道を渡ろうとしていたから、手伝ってあげた。
タクシーを降りようとした時、財布がないことに気がついた。
もうすぐ花が咲こうとしている。
試合がこれから始まろうとしている。

To be more precise, I suggest you correct (A) to (B) or (C).
Most people prefer to keep the same style when plural sentences continue.
Especially in exams, you should write in (B) or (C) style.
(A) ドアを開けようとしたが、鍵がかかっていました。
These are better in general:
(B) ドアを開けようとしましたが、鍵がかかっていました。
(C) ドアを開けようとしたが、鍵がかかっていた。
However, (A) isn't technically wrong.
