Comrades, brothers and sisters,
The working class has been under attack for far too long. What we are witnessing today is an attempt by the government to destroy our communities, to crush the heart and soul of our industry, and to undermine the rights of working people. This isn't just about coal or the mines; it’s about the future of our country and the right of every worker to have dignity and respect.
Margaret Thatcher and her government have decided that they want to close our mines, to take away our jobs, and to destroy our livelihoods. They want to cut the heart out of our communities, and they want to do it by any means necessary. But we will not stand idly by. We will fight for our jobs, for our families, and for the future of Britain.
The miners’ strike is not just about defending our industry. It is a battle for all working people. When they attack one of us, they attack all of us. And we will not be divided. We are united, and we will stand together until the end. The fight we are engaged in today is not just a struggle for miners’ rights – it is a struggle for the rights of every working-class family in this country.
They can try to break us, they can try to starve us out, but we will not be defeated. This is a battle of principle, a battle for justice, and we will fight with every ounce of our strength.
We are not asking for charity or sympathy. We are asking for justice. We are asking for the right to work with dignity, for the right to provide for our families, and for the right to stand tall as working people in a fair and just society.
Together, we are stronger than they can ever imagine. We will not back down. We will not surrender. We will fight until the very end – and we will win.
Solidarity forever!
