Note to recorder:

Please speak slowly, it's for beginners at school!

Orlando Bloom went to school in Canterbury, but school wasn’t easy for him as he had some learning difficulties. Later he studied music and drama. He wanted to become a theatre actor, but after his first big film role in Lord of the Rings in 2001, he made his career as a film actor. Between 2001 and 2003 he appeared in three Lord of the Rings films and between 2003 and 2007 in three Pirates of the Caribbean films. These films made him famous. In 2011 he played the bad guy in The Three Musketeers. In some ways Orlando Bloom is lucky to be alive. When he was at drama school, he fell from a third-floor terrace and broke his back. He fell off his horse when he was filming Lord of the Rings. He was in a car crash in Los Angeles in 2007 and in another one in 2009! In 2009 four teenagers broke into his Hollywood house and took things with a value of half a million dollars. It seems that Orlando Bloom’s real life is almost as dramatic as his films.

Quelle: Gateway, Klett 2012.

Is there also a British person who could do a recording of the text? To have a greater variety. Please talk in a normal pace, not too slow, not too fast. It's for school to listen to the text. Thanks a lot!

Hello.

I noticed that my recording's a bit crackly so please let me know if you need me to do a re-recording. I don't have a good microphone on my home computer but could improve the recording on another computer next week if necessary?

Just let me know it's no problem.

O.
