Unfortunately, these two words sound very, very similar and it's just a minuscule difference - for "dass", the S sound should be sharper. But since German has the "Auslautverhärtung", any word ending in -s will sound pretty much as though it ends with a sharp S (e.g. Wildnis, verbos, Gas).
In the recording, I tried to strike a balance between speaking the way people normally would and making it somewhat noticeable which is which.
